The Institute of Entrepreneurs Zimbabwe (IOEZ) was a key participant at the recent Lupane Business Expo, showcasing its work to catalyze entrepreneurship in the Matabeleland North region. The event was graced by the presence of Hon. Monica Mutswangwa, the Minister of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises, her Deputy, and the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry.
IOEZ’s CEO, Dr. Kudzanai Vere, delivered a presentation focused on “Catalysing Entrepreneurs in Mat North for Social Economic Emancipation.” In his remarks, Dr. Vere highlighted IOEZ’s ongoing initiatives to support and empower entrepreneurs in the region, with the goal of driving social and economic development.
“Entrepreneurship is a critical driver of growth and transformation, and we are committed to nurturing an ecosystem that enables entrepreneurs to thrive in Matabeleland North,” said Dr. Vere. “Our participation in the Lupane Business Expo provided an excellent platform to showcase our work and engage with key stakeholders in the community.”
The event was well-attended, with a diverse range of exhibitors and attendees from the local business community, government agencies, and development organizations. The presence of the Minister, Deputy Minister, and Permanent Secretary underscored the government’s commitment to supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and fostering an enabling environment for entrepreneurship.
